Overview

The Check Before Fixing – Liner Terms & BL Workshop is rooted in the topics covered in the well-known handbook “Check Before Fixing”, which has been published by BIMCO since the 1970s. “Check Before Fixing” has been a useful tool on the basic principles in daily chartering and other shipping transactions for decades and builds upon BIMCO’s expertise in terms of advising members about contractual topics and disputes.

The seminars are an organic extension of the content from the handbook and cover a wide range of practical operational topics.

What will you learn?

  • Letters of Indemnity (LOI’s – “we all (have to) do it……”)
  • Working with Combined and Multi model Bills of Lading
