About the Decarbonisation - EEXI/CII Clauses 180 Seminar

On 1 January 2023, the new operational IMO requirements came into force. It is commercially and contractually challenging, and owners and charterers will need to cooperate in new ways to allow the shipowner to comply with the CII regulations. This is particularly difficult for time charter parties, which provide the charterers with full use of the ship.

Session 1 will provide a general overview, followed by a session looking specifically at the impact on ship managers, owners, and operators. Session 2 will introduce the new BIMCO CII Operations Clause for Time Charter Parties, which will help the industry commercially navigate the complexities of the new CII regulations from the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
