Superphosphate

Description
Greyish white in colour with moisture content ranging from 0% to 7%. Hygroscopic. Bulk density: 1,000 - 1,190 kg/m3. Non-IMSBC Code information - A fertiliser, containing a mixture of gypsum and monobasic calcium phosphate. An acid phosphate. It is originally insoluble phosphate rock (calcium phosphate, tribasic) that has been treated with sulphuric acid and processed as a fertiliser. Considered the most important phosphorus fertiliser and described as a dry, free-running fertiliser and slightly acidic in character. Ordinary superphosphate contains about 20% available phosphate.

Acid phosphate - enriched superphosphate - normal superphosphate - single superphosphate - superphosphate of lime.
