Ferrochrome

Description
A raw material of iron mixed with chrome. An extremely heavy cargo. Bulk density: 3,571 to 5,556 kg/m3. Non-IMSBC Code information: This finishing material gives chromium to steels and casting iron; contains about 70% chromium alloyed with iron and used when it is desired to add chromium to steel. Chromium provides corrosion resistance to stainless steel.  Note that it also exists in various grades and classifications, contains normally between 60% and 70% chromium.
