Dangerous Cargo Regulations

Dangerous goods of Class 6.7 as described in IMDG Code are permitted to be brought into the port area after having been agreed upon with Regional Sanitary Inspection and Atomic Inspection respectively.

Any handling of dangerous goods and hazardous materials in the port shall be authorized by Fire Inspection and Port Control and effected in full compliance with the rules for handling dangerous goods in force - the IMDG Code requirements.

Before commencement of loading dangerous cargoes the following documentation is required to be submitted to Port Control by shipagent: executive cargo plan, certificate and characteristics of the cargo, declaration of the transport characteristics and safe conditions of sea transportation of the cargo, particulars of the cargo, other relevant certificates.

 

Fire watch is compulsory when loading/discharging following commodities: oil products and dangerous goods.
