Crew Issues

Immigration/visa requirements to crew onboard vessels calling at the port:
If crew members do not have valid USA visas they will not be authorize to go ashore by authorities and must be retained on board. Passengers must posses USA visas upon arrival otherwise they will be penalize by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Nationalities restricted by USA authorities due to not compliance with anti-terrorism measures are : Republic of Congo, Cambodia, Cuba, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Indonesia, Iran, Liberia, Mauritania,  Syria, Venezuela. Ships coming from these countries will have to go through a USCG security inspection prior to enter to any USA port.

Crew change is possible, however when it is at anchorage Authorities have to authorize such movement. Crew signing off must have USA visas in order to be allowed to be repatriated, unless there is a medical condition or emergency, this movement have to be also authorized by Authorities.

The port is under the TWIC program meaning that if crew members are not under such program they will need to be escorted according to TWIC program regulations. Besides, Oil terminals according to their safety policies do not allow crew members traffic through their premises.
