Crew Issues

Please note that the details of local procedures for crew change are as under.

Vessels agent obtains landing permit for joiners from immigration authorities, upon arrival of joiners at Karachi airport. Landing permit may be issued by immigration authorities for all nationalities except Israelis.

For completion of immigration formalities, we require copies of seaman book / passport and flight details at least 24 working hours prior arrival of joiners.

Please note that Seaman / Company Representative are not allowed to land in Pakistan without Visa on Passport if are not in possession of a valid Seaman Book.

Please instruct joiners to show their Seaman Book / Passport to immigration authorities at Karachi airport and advise authorities that “they have arrived to join the vessel M.T “……………………..” at Port Bin Qasim, and M/s. GAC Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. is their agent.”

Joiner must have the company's letter mentioning full particulars / details of seaman and clearly mentioning that they will join the vessel M.T “…………………..” at Port Bin Qasim.

Once all arrangements are confirmed, we will send “ok to board “to concern airlines upon receiving the flight details for joiners.

Regarding off signers, please note that we need e-ticket to obtain permissions from local authorities at least 24 working hours prior their departure from Karachi.
