Harbour

A pier in front of the town projects 275 m S from the shore to a water depth of about 9 m (30’) but is not qualified for discharge/loading purposes anymore.

New port two (2) miles E of San José Pier – See Puerto Quetzal


There is one (1) molasses export marine terminal and three (3) petroleum/gasoline import marine terminals in the vicinity of the San Jose Pier where tankers moor to buoys.

Mooring to buoys in 55' to 60' of water. Two (2) lines starboard. clean products 12'' - dirty products 10''


Esso
Mooring to buoys in 50' to 55' of water. Two (2) lines port side - clean products 8'' - dirty products 8''


Melazas
Mooring to buoys in 47' to 56' of water. One (1) line portside for blackstrap molasses and hidetest molasses.


Texaci
Mooring to buoys in 55' to 60' of water. Two (2) lines portside - clean products 12' - dirty products 12'.
