Trading restrictions imposed by Bahrain

  • Arab League's Boycott of Israel
    Bahrain signed a normalisation agreement with Israel on 15 September 2020 which once ratified is expected to lead to the ending of all sanctions against Israel.

  • Iran
    According to reports the following are banned from Bahrain ports:
    - Iranian flagged ships
    - Ships that call directly from an Iranian port
    - Ships that have called Iran within the last 3 ports of call must first obtain authorisation from the Bahrainian authorities.

  • Qatar
    The Ports and Maritime Affairs at Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has declared that all Bahrain Ports and territorial waters will remain suspended for marine navigation from and to State of Qatar effective from 6th June 2017.
