BIMCO representatives from the Maritime Information Department have attended the 5th session of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 5), held at the IMO London headquarters from 10 to 14 September 2018.
Providing the lists of solid bulk cargoes that can be exempted from CO 2 fittings as issued by the International Maritime Organization.
The BIMCO Liquid Cargo Database is kept updated and in line with The International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code) and MARPOL Annex II Regulations for the Control of Pollution by Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk.
New criteria for tracking and monitoring equipment used in transport of dangerous goods under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods ( IMDG) Code were finalised at the International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s Sub-Committee for the Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) at their 8th meeting held from 14 to 23 September 2022. A transitional phase for implementation was also introduced.
The IMO Sub-committee for the Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) succeeded in finalising the carriage requirements for bauxite cargoes based on GBWG's bauxite research, paving the way for safe carriage of these cargoes.
