At the recent BIMCO Ship Manager Advisory Panel meeting the main topic was not surprisingly, the ongoing negotiations about t he future EU ETS.
The IMO’s Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE 5) meeting will concentrate on saving seafarers’ lives by improving regulation on lifesaving appliances. Further new regulations on lifting appliances and anchor handling winches, cold ironing and watertight doors will be discussed in detail.
The BIMCO Documentary Committee (DC) will be meeting on 18 May – it will be the first physical meeting since the start of the pandemic. Four important projects are up for adoption: ETSA, the CII Compliance Clause, GENCON 22 and the IOCD Clause for Time Charter Parties.
