Paris MoU plans a new CIC on ECDIS and issues new white, grey and black lists effective 1 July 2017

Overview

A new Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) to check on safety of navigation, including Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) will be conducted jointly by Paris and Tokyo MoUs. Paris MoU issues new White, Grey and Black lists issued effective from 1 July 2017.

At the 50th Committee Meeting of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held recently,  it was agreed that a  Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) to check on safety of navigation, including Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) will be carried out from 1 September to 30 November 2017. This CIC will be conducted jointly with Tokyo MoU. The questionnaire on this CIC will be published in August.

The White, Grey and Black lists and performance list of recognised organisations for 2016 have also been adopted at this meeting, accompanied by the Paris MoU press release. These lists are effective from 1 July 2017.
