The waterfront of Charlotte Amalie is a concrete marginal wharf with depths between 2 m and 4.5 m (7'-15'). It is used by coastal and other small vessels.

The West Indian Company Dock, along the S side of Long Bay, provides 950 yards berthing face with depths between 9 m and 8.2 m (30'-27') alongside.

Crown Bay Waterfront, between East and West Gregerie channels, has depths of 4.2-4.6 m (14'-15') and is used primarily for the receipt of general cargo.
