Should you go for Methanol or Ammonia – or LNG?
Future fuel choices for shipping are sparking debate, with LNG, Methanol, and Ammonia leading the charge. LNG offers immediate reductions in emissions, positioning itself as a cleaner option for today's vessels, while e-fuels have potential to be a longer term solution.

Winds are turning against methanol while ammonia is gaining momentum. The choice between these fuels will shape the future of maritime sustainability, as the industry balances innovation with practicality.

  • Is LNG part of part of the problem or part of the solution?

  • Why have the winds shifted for methanol?

  • Are e-fuels a sustainable solution?
