Zinc oxide enriched flue dust

Description

Odourless fine powder that aggregates into lumps. Light brown or greyish yellow/greyish green in colour.  Main component is zinc oxide. Secondary components are lead oxides. Bulk density: 2,150 - 2,400 kg/m3. Also known as Waelz Oxide. 

 

Non-IMSBC Code information: the material is a mix of zinc oxide and lead oxide produced by "Waelz Process" from electric arc furnace dust. Uses: raw material for zinc smelters to produce zinc metal; used at industrial sites and in manufacturing (ref: CCC 5/inf.13).
