Both BIMCO members and non-members can participate in training courses. BIMCO members are entitled to preferential discount rates and have longer time to request to pay by invoice rather than credit card.
A BIMCO membership only applies to the office/location that has made the application and not automatically all offices worldwide. Therefore, it is only employees in the office/location of the company that is a BIMCO member that can take advantage of the discount rate. Therefore, employees in branches/sister companies that are non-members are not entitled to the member rate, unless the specific office/location takes out a corporate/branch membership. Substitution of another named participant can be made free of charge up until the course start date, but we prefer to be informed a.s.a.p. Instructions of how to do this online, will be provided once email@example.com have been informed of the name change.
If you would like to reserve and purchase single or multiple seats on a training course, but do not currently know the names of the participants, then please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will receive a login to the website where you will be able to add the name/s and contact details of the participants once the invoice has been generated.
The course fee includes coffee breaks, lunch and course materials, but not transport or accommodation which should be arranged by the participant directly with the hotel. This is except for the Shipping schools and the Maritime Law Academy, please see specific details under extra info on the relevant course pages.
Shortly before the course start date you will receive an email with further information and a link to download training materials (in PDF).
BIMCO issues electronic course files as an Adobe PDF file enabling you to make personal notes using a computer or tablet. You will need to bring a computer or tablet to the course!
All documentation and presentations will be in English.
If you need an invitation letter to support your visa application, please request one using the link you receive in the confirmation email, once you have paid. Please note that BIMCO will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a participant. Should your visa application be declined, you can send a request for a full refund of the course fee to email@example.com, but latest 14 days before the course start date.
