Intermodal yard: On-dock rail service accommodates up to 64-five platform doublestack railcars--equivalent to nearby three (3) full trains. Two (2) dedicated lead rail tracks provide flexible entrance/exit point off the main rail line within the Alameda Corridor.
Other features are: Advanced gate complex includes intermodal control tower, 10 inbound and 10 outbound lanes, and an integrated, real-time computer system for vessels, rail and gate operations. DRY AND LIQUID BULK TERMINALS:
This liquid bulk terminal is designed to handle larger-sized crude vessels carrying in excess of one million barrels of ANS and/or imported crude. The facility is located in the outer Los Angeles Harbour, allowing vessels efficient access to the berths. The dock features 12-inch (31 centimetre) and 16-inch (41 centimetre) loading/unloading arms and is capable of flow rates in excess of 25,000 barrels per hour. The maximum draft is 49 feet (15 metres) and length overall is 898 feet (274 metres). .
Tankers can be either loaded or unloaded with chemicals, petrochemicals, petroleum products and vegetable oils at this public facility, which has a usable berthing length of 800 feet (244 metres) and depth alongside of 35 feet (11 metres). Located at quayside are 136 storage tanks with a total product storage capacity of 593,000 barrels. In addition to roadway access, the Santa Fe, Union Pacific and Pacific Harbour railroads also serve the terminal.
Usable berthing length of 821 feet (250 metres) and depth alongside of 37 feet (11 metres), the facility can accommodate either one large tanker or two smaller vessels or barges simultaneously. GATX uses five pipelines running from the wharf to 14 storage tanks, which have a total product storage capacity of 592,000 barrels. Most petroleum products can be accommodated at the facility, including oxygenates, gasolines, distillates, jet fuels, blendstocks and refinery feedstocks. In addition, the terminal is directly pipeline connected to an additional 4,600,000 barrels of tankage located at GATX's CArson Terminal.
GATX uses Berth 120 to accommodate tankers and barges unloading/loading fuel oils, cutter stocks and bunker fuels. In addition to being pipeline connected to Berths 118-119 for bunkering operations, Berth 120 is also directly pipeline connected to GATX's 410,000 barrel Gaffey Street Terminal. This facility features usable berthing length of 418 feet (122 metres) and depth alongside of 37 feet (11 metres). An LPG swivel boom, petroleum products flex hose and valve connections are used to handle cargo.
This liquid bulk terminal is primarily for vessels unloading of partly or fully refined petroleum products to onsite storage tanks. usable berthing lengths totals 1800 feet (549 metres) and depth alongside measures 35 feet (11 metres). A pneumatically operated mast and boom derrick are used to unload cargo.
The berth, which has a total length of 1000 feet (305 metres), includes frontage on Berth 163. The draft is 33 feet (10 metres) alongside. The facility operates round-the-clock, 365 days a year.
The facility has a product storage capacity of 35,000 tons (31,752 metric tons) and can transfer cargo to vessels at a rate of up to 1000 metric tons hourly. Maximal berthing length totals 679 feet (207 metres).
This liquid bulk terminal has a wharf of 1249 feet (380 metres), usable berthing length of 1310 feet (400 metres), depth alongside of 38 feet (12 metres) and a dolphin. Five (5) derricks, equipped with nine (9) 35-foot (11-metre) booms, are used to handle petroleum. The facility features, eleven (11) storage tanks with a total product storage capacity of 530,000 barrels on a 10-acre (four-hectare) site adjacent to the berths.
This liquid bulk terminal features a draft alongside of 45 feet (14 metres), pipeline access, truck-receiving facility and a rail link. The liquid bulk terminal has 83 storage tanks with a total product storage capacity of 2,500,000 barrels.
This is a bulk cement distribution facility. Built to handle up to 1,000,000 tons of cement annually in an 86,000-square-foot (7,990-square-metre) warehouse. Two (2) 250-tons-per-hour (227-metric-tons) (907,185 metric tons) pneumatic Kovako units discharge up to 38,000 tons (34,473 metric tons) of cement from bulk carriers to either the warehouse or silo storage areas.
This 22 acre (9 hectare) dry bulk facility handles all grades of ferrous scrap metal. A loader is used to discharge shredded and cut grades of scrap metal into 25,000-tons (22,860-metric-ton) to 33,000-ton (29,937-metric-ton) vessels. The onsite shredder processes approximately 900 tons (816 metric tons) of automobiles and light gauge scrap metal daily. A 2000-ton (1814-metric-ton) onsite shear processes an additional 300 tons(272 metric tons) of unprepared heavy melting steel scrap. The facility's berth has alongside depth of 38 feet (12 metres).
This 17-acre (7 hectare) liquid bulk terminal, is connected by pipeline to a 21-acre (9 hectare) tank farm. With 2621 feet (799 metres) of water frontage, the facility handles tankers and barges transporting crude oil, and finished and semifinished petroleum products. The berths serving tankers and barges have an alongside depth of 35 feet (11 metres).
Total land area is 11 acres (five hectares) and total berth length is 1340 feet (408 metres). Transit shed capacity is 211,290 square feet (19,630 square metres).
Total land area is 13 acres (five hectares) and total berth area is 1720 feet (524 metres). Transit shed capacity is 232,525 square feet (21,602 square metres). Rail access is available.

World Cruise Centre
Two (2) berths (Berth Nos. 91/92) combined are 1590 feet (485 metres) long. Berth 93A/93B combined are 1400 feet (485 metres) long. Capacity is two (2) full-size vessels, depending on length. Water depth is 37 feet (11 metres). Width of navigational corridor is 1000 feet (305 metres). Length of concourse is 1103 feet (336 metres). Length of area between dock and concourse structure is 36.5 feet (11 metres). Vertical clearance restrictions is: "The Vincent Thomas Bridge" at 180 feet . Vertical clearance varies with rising/falling of tide.
