Required Documentation For Tankers and Carriers


The "ISM Code, International Safety Management" is applicable to all oil tankers, chemical tankers, gas carriers and bulk carriers of gross tonnage 500 and above since August 1st, 1998.


Therefore, (for) all tankers (oil or chemical), gas carriers, and bulk carriers calling inside Fujairah Port or Fujairah Offshore Anchorage Area, regardless of the nature of the call, the following certificates must be available and valid onboard:
1. Load Line Certificate;
2. Cargo Ship Safety Construction Certificate;
3. Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate;
4. Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate;
5. Civil Liability Convention Certificate issued by Flag state (issued in accordance with provisions of International Convention on Civil Liability for Pollution Damage 1969 and 1992);
6. The International Oil Pollution Prevention (I.O.P.P.)
7. Ships Register Certificate;
8. Classification Certificate (Hull & Machinery);
9. De-ratting Certificate;
10. Oil Record Books;
11. ISM Certificate.
