72 hours, 48 hours and 24 hours ETA advice to Agent is recommended. It is
always compulsory to contact Las Palmas Port Control VHF Channels 16/10 at
least 2 hours in advance.
Vessels carrying dangerous cargoes must apply through their Agent with a
48-hour advance notice (5 days for IMO class 1 & 7 -IMDG) for
permission to enter port, declaring quantity, IMO class and UN numbers,
ports of origin and destination of the cargo. Tankers in ballast must
declare whether tanks are gas-free or inert.
As for dangerous cargoes, it is observed the IMDG Code with special
restrictions for class 1 & 7, EU regulations and any instruction from
Harbour Master's Office about the handling of this kind of cargoes.
