Agency fees covering the ports of Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro and Sepetiba Bay, effective 1 May 1985, as recommend by SINDARIO (Sindicato das Agências de Navegação Marítima e Atividades Afins do Estado do Rio de Janeiro)

I. Minimum agency fees at the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Angra dos Reis
1. Charterer's Agent (Official Vessel's Agent)
a) For handling vessels loading/discharging dry cargoes up to 10 days in port:
Up to 10,000 m/t 2,450.00
From 10,001 - 20,000 m/t 3,000.00
From 20,001 - 30,000 m/t 3,450.00
From 30,001 - 50,000 m/t 3,700.00
Exceeding 50,001 m/t 4,000.00
Per every day in excess, an additional 10%
Per additional berth 250.00
b) For handling tankers loading/discharging liquid cargoes:
Up to 50,000 m/t 3,000.00
From 50,001 - 100,000 m/t 3,450.00
From 100,001 - 150,000 m/t 3,700.00
Exceeding 150,001 m/t 4,000.00
2. Full Agents
When Charterer's and Owner's interests are combined with the same Agent, the fees chargeable under scales "1a" and "1b" will be increased:
Up to 10 days stay in port 1,150.00
For each subsequent day 10%
3. Owner's Agent (Protecting Agent)
a) When looking after funds for payments of disbursements for Owner's account, when vessel is consigned to a third party:
Up to 10 days stay in port 1,800.00
For each subsequent day 10%
b) In distress attending: bunkering, water supply, stores, carry out small repairs, provided call does not exceed 48 hours:
Per every day in excess 1,600.00
Over 10 days in port 3% as per 3.a)
c) To look after those left behind, deserters, stowaways or crewmembers being signed on or off the vessel, per each 160.00
4. Passenger ships
Up to 24 hours in port 2,800.00
For each subsequent day 10%
When landing and/or embarking passengers, additional fee:
Up to 12 passengers (each) 30.00
For each passenger over the 12th 20.00
II. Minimum agency fees in Sepetiba Bay
(Guaíba Island - MBR, Madeira Island and Tebig).
1. Charterer's Agent (Official Vessel's Agent)
a) For handling vessels loading/discharging dry cargoes up to 5 days in port.
Up to 20,000 m/t 3,000.00
From 20,001 - 40,000 m/t 3,400.00
From 40,001 - 60,000 m/t 3,800.00
From 60,001 - 80,000 m/t 4,200.00
From 80,001 - 100,000 m/t 4,600.00
From 100,001 - 125,000 m/t 5,000.00
From 125,001 - 150,000 m/t 5,400.00
From 150,001 - 175,000 m/t 5,800.00
From 175,001 - 200,000 m/t 6,200.00
From 200,001 - 250,000 m/t 6,600.00
Exceeding 250,001 m/t 7,000.00
Per every day in excess of 5 days an additional 10%
b) For handling tankers loading/discharging liquid cargoes: Same as II.1.a.
2. Full Agents
When Charterer's and Owner's interests are combined with the same Agent, the fees chargeable under scales II.1. will be increased:
Up to 10 days stay in port 1,400.00
For each subsequent day 10%
3. Owner's Agent (Protecting Agent)
a) When looking after funds for payments of disbursements for Owner's account, when vessel is consigned to a third party:
Up to 10 days stay in port 2,250.00
For each subsequent day 10%
b) To look after those left behind, deserters, stowaways or crew members being signed on or off the vessel, per each 200.00
III. Remarks
1. None of the above rates cover services which can be considered extraordinary, such as: taking legal steps to protect Owner's or Charterer's interests, collecting freights or general average contribution, vessels aground, oil pollution, etc.
2. 5% Municipal tax will be applied on all above-mentioned rates.
3. The provision of funds by the Principal to his Agent must be done in advance and be fully at his disposal before the beginning of the services. Local bank charges for remittances from or to abroad and to Agents, in the interior, are for exclusive account of the Principals.
4. In the event final disbursements are not settled within 10 days, Agents are entitled to charge interest at the rate of 1% per month, over balance due, in USD.
