Special arrangements for the accommodation of seamen. The Port Hospital is unique in the Netherlands. It is the first port hospital with special arrangements for the accommodation of seamen of all ranks and nationalities. Clinical observation and treatment as well as the outpatients department can rely on almost all forms of medical specialist care provided by foremost practitioners in their field. Port Qasim is situated about 60km away from Karachi in an industrial area, located at the end of 24 miles long entrance channel which is not marked by lighted buoys.   Therefore at present there is no night navigation facility available and all berthings / sailings are performed in day light hours only.

Tom Adams

Tom is a shipping and energy specialist with particular expertise in dispute resolution and negotiating contracts relating to offshore construction, shipbuilding, drilling and floating production. He litigates disputes for offshore contractors, drilling contractors and shipyards as well as negotiates shipbuilding contracts, offshore drilling contracts and long term charter contracts of specialist vessels and FPSOs. Tom has particular expertise in advising contractors in relation to payment security mechanisms during operations in difficult jurisdictions and disputes with sub-contractors and suppliers. Tom has presented for IBC in relation to FPSO contracts covering design risk, variations, topside integration and commissioning issues. He has also presented for BIMCO and Lloyds Maritime Academy on the SUPPLYTIME forms.

Peter Storm

Peter Storm, Manager, Support and Advice at BIMCO, is responsible for advising and guiding BIMCO members on contractual issues and disputes. This includes recommendation of relevant charter party forms, advice on terms and clauses, as well as guidance regarding interpretation and construction of charter parties. Peter’s shipping career began as a trainee in 1994 with a Danish shipowner where he gained experience in both operational and commercial roles. He worked for many years with a major brokering firm holding a variety of positions as a shipbroker before joining BIMCO in 2013.Peter has also been employed within the financial sector for several years.

Flemming Dahl Jensen

Flemming is Senior Security Advisor at Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S. He joined NORDEN in 2010 as a Marine Superintendent. Before joining the company, he worked for A. P. Møller- Mærsk for 23 years in various roles, including as an officer and Master, and has held various managerial positions ashore. In addition, Jensen is Chairman of the ECSA Maritime Security Working Group, Vice chairperson at BIMCO’s Safety and Security Committee, is a member of the Danish Shipowners’ Association’s Security Working Group, Informal CSO Forum (Denmark) and Informal Shipowners Security Forum in the United Kingdom.
