BIMCO provides a summary of the significant changes brought about by Amendment 40-20 to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
GENCOA B 2022 is BIMCO’s standard contract of affreightment for dry bulk cargoes. It is one of two versions of GENCOA revising the latest version of the contract issued in 2004: GENCOA A - a framework contract that can be used with different voyage charter parties for different trades; and GENCOA B - an “all in one” contract that includes all terms and provision usually found in a contract of affreightment, both the contract terms of GENCOA A and the charter party terms that would otherwise be found in a voyage charter attached to GENCOA A. The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has published changes to The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG Code) Amendment 39-18.
Amendment 39-18 will be incorporated into the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG), 2018 Edition, and come into force on 1 January 2020.
The BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network held its first meeting, where members took the opportunity to network, share and get clarification about shipper’s cargo information and declaration under the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code.
Progress was made at the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 5) largely due to contributions made by various delegations providing information and data on the different types of ammonium nitrate based fertilsers (ANBF) that are carried as non-hazardous, a Group C classification in the IMSBC Code.
