She has experience with High Court disputes and arbitration (LMAA, LCIA and ICC) and works on a wide range of wet and dry shipping matters, including salvage and wreck removal, offshore decommissioning projects, speed and performance claims, charterparty, and ship management agreement disputes. Previously, Elli worked in the legal department of an international company specialising in salvage and decommissioning services.
This provision will be applicable when the parties have chosen Japanese law as the governing law of VOLCOA. In such cases, the VOLCOA Japanese Terms will replace Clause 21 (Law and Arbitration) of VOLCOA and disputes should be referred to arbitration in Japan.
