Support for seafarers for the holidays
Overview
A group of shipping and seafarer organisations have made a collection of flyers, pictures and posters for the coming holiday months. Employers of seafarers can use to flyers and posters to inform their crews of initiatives or helplines, that can inspire some festive mood or help alleviate sorrow or home sickness.
To support the good initiative, BIMCO has agreed to share the material with its members.
The following organisations are behind the initiative: International Chamber of Shipping, ISWAN, International Transport Workers Federation, ITF Seafarers Trust, International Christian Maritime Association, MNWB, Ocean Technologies Group, INTERTANKO, Seafarers Hospital Society, INTERCARGO, Seafarers UK, Inmarsat, Sailors Society, Mission to Seafarers and Stella Marris.

Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
