Rasorite (Anhydrous)

Description

According to the IMSBC Code, it is a yellow-white material that is granular and crystalline and comes with little or no dust. It is abrasive and hygroscopic. According to information available, it is a natural sodium borate in anhydrous form and its main use is for manufacturing of glass, enamels and other ceramic products. It is also known as a borate mineral, i.e., belonging to borates which is a generic term for compounds containing boron (a non-metallic element) and oxygen. Bulk density: 1,282 -1,493 kg/m3.
