Vermiculite

Description

Vermiculite consists of hydrated magnesium-iron-aluminum-silicate and is a mineral of the mica group. Greyish with average moisture content of between 6 -10%. Vermiculite has high porosity, low density and is insoluble in water and organic solvents. Used for insulation, fireproofing, plaster, additive for fertilizers, animal feed additive and adsorbent, amongst other things. Bulk density: 730 kg/m3.
