Pyrites calcined (Calcined pyrites)

Residual product (dust and fines) of all types of metal sulphides used in the chemical industry for either sulphuric acid production or recovery process of elemental metals eg copper, lead, zinc etc. Acidity of residue can be significant, especially in the presence of water or moist air, recording often pH values of between 1.3 and 1.2. Note: this entry does not apply to Fly Ash (a separate IMSBC Code entry-Group C cargo), product of oil or coal fired powered stations. Bulk density: 2,326 kg/m3.
