It is soft mineral - natural calcium fluoride (compound of calcium and fluorine), in the form of cubical crystals with a variety of colours,i.e., yellow, green or purple. Coarse dust. Material is fluorescent in ultraviolet light. Used for a variety of purposes, e.g., glass-making, manufacture of hydrofluoric acid glass, construction and ceramic industries, chief source of fluorine etc. Bulk density (kg/m3) : Dry - 1,429 to 1,786, Wet - 1,786 to 2,128.
