Coal tar pitch

Description

A black, coarse solid (at ambient temperature) distilled residue of coal tar, a by-product of cokes production, comprising of many kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. Insoluble in water with moisture content of up to 6%. Used as raw material for electrodes and materials covering pitch bound on metallurgy coke. Bulk density: 600 - 1,100 kg/m3.
