Lubeoil additives *)

Trade name/synonym name

*) "Lubeoil additives" is not a fully correct product name as neither MARPOL Annex I nor the IBC code will list such a name

A Lubeoil additive will consist of an amount of mineral oil added some chemicals. The added chemicals shall bring certain wanted properties to the final product - the lubricating oil

The Lubeoil additives can for example act as an anti-oxidant, have some anti-foam properties, improve viscosity, control formation of deposits, depress the pour point of the lubricating oil - and many many other properties

Lubeoil additives will often be carried under a trade name from latest edition of MEPC.2/Circ. - list 2 or list 3

As an example, this schedule will show the lubeoil additive with the trade name: "Lubrizol 16005" from MEPC.2/Circ. List 3
